"the Silent Hill sequel that never happened" IndieNation
"an absolutely terrific premise for a horror game... brutally chilling" Rock, Paper, Shotgun
"The mood to it is just perfect. Darkly lit, an excellent yet haunting soundtrack by English composer Jessica Curry and clear, crisp voice over dialogue, offset at key points during gameplay, excentuate what is a unique gaming treasure. One of a kind."

Korsakovia is an experimental mod about madness, reality and the end of the world. You play as Christopher, a psychiatric patient suffering from the rare condition Korsakoff's syndrome. Christopher believes the world has ended. His consultant neurologist, Dr Grayson, is beginning to believe he may just be right.
Korsakovia was created as part of a research project into first person gaming called thechineseroom, run by Dan Pinchbeck of the University of Portsmouth, UK. It was designed to explore what happens when normal expectations of play are subverted and destroyed, so the player cannot rely on the normal cues or understanding of typical FPS play. As such, it uses visual distortions, extreme audio effects, flashing lights, and disturbing imagery. It is not recommended for minors or those susceptible to motion sickness or other conditions brought on by flashing lights and audiovisual distortions.
Otherwise, play late at night, on your own, wearing headphones and with the lights off.
The mod can be downloaded here.

"It’s rare for a game to instil such panic. It’s up there with ‘Shock 2 and Silent Hill" Resolution Magazine
"This mod will screw with your mind, scare you, and confuse you. It plays with your perception and laughs at you. Play this at night with the lights turned down and the sound cranked up. If you’re playing with surround sound, you’re going to need balls of steel. If you’re playing with headphones, you may need a shoulder to cry on" Icrontic
